the SWW Mugger

 The SWW Mugger part 2

02 March 2006 UFO Sightings Over Ashburton

Ashburton has been so slow recently that we felt a new and exciting story would liven things up.

YES A REAL UFO PHOTO

However the Photo was not taken in Ashburton. As there is nothing exciting to report I thought I'd make something up. Its true over the past years UFO's have been spotted over the Ashburton and surrounding areas but not this time. This time it is all make believe to give you something to read, however if you do spot one don't hesitate to not contact me and tell me all about it as you are probably a screwball or a little worse for wear from the night before. There has however been a real and unbelievable story recently, that involved BITZ n BYTEZ and the very silly deals we have had on Brand New Business PC's. We currently have HP Business PC's with XP PRO and 3 YEARS ONSITE Warranty for £229 plus vat. That's just mad. Anyway you didn't come to read about silly offers on systems on the news page so please read on and see how we have evolved. Hope to have some real news for you soon.

09 September Bitz n Bytez gets bought out (not).

I have just come back from holiday only to find that my business had been sold while I was away. The new owners have been in my shop since I left a month ago and driving around in the company van. Well these are the rumours anyway. That fact is Chris my second in command has been in charge and has done a great job. When I was informed of the sale my reply was "how much did I get?". Its amazing how stories get around in these small Towns. In fact I would go as far to say that there are alot of bored people in Ashburton -of course none of whom are my customers- who would have no life without gossip. To them I say GET A LIFE. Anyway, I am back and all is well, in fact my partner says Chris has done a better job than me and suggested that I not return...cheers, its nice to feel needed. Keep reading there will be more news soon and Chris may be putting up a few snippets himself.

14 April Super--Natural our new venture opens its doors.

Yes we gone and done it. We have stuck out our neck again and opened a new shop in Ashburton Called Super--Natural. The shop is a wonderful and beautiful shop full or minerals fossils and modern gift ware. It has got to be the nicest shop in the area to visit and that's official as many people who have visited us since opening have said so. On a sad note please join me in wishing Max our top Technician the very best in his future as leaving us for health reasons and his last day will be on Saturday 15th so come and see him and say goodbye.

30th January ( Bitz n Bytez 2 - Plymouth Argyle 0 )

As you are all probably aware Bitz n Bytez Sponsor Tom Kelly's (Ex Torquay United player) team Interwood under 13's. They have found it hard to get a game recently due to a lack of people brave enough to offer them a game, however Plymouth Argyle rose to the challenge today only to suffer a loss of 2-0.

Interwood Under 13's

Starting top left to bottom right, Ben Rowe (Director of interwood Centre of Excellence & Ex Exeter City Player), Cameron Kelly, Liam Ellis, Ryan Beatiie, Edward Palmer, Tom Brooks, John Burrows, Daniel Badger, Jake Latori, Chris Hewart, Darryl, Toby,Tom Kelly (Ex Torquay United & Team Coach), Tom Kelly( Physiotherapy), Ashley Yeoman, Nick Milton, Tom Kelly, Paul Reilly, Ryan Sanders, Jared Lewington

Notice we have three Tom Kelly's on our team, its not a typing error. The team are open to offers of further games so if you feel you are up to the challenge please contact Tom Kelly(Coach) or contact us and we will put you in touch.

Its great to see them doing so well despite losing their mini bus to the robbery at Bitz n Bytez last year, however we promise to do our best to come up with the goods when our budget allows.

Plenty Of Action

The match was none stop excitement from beginning to end. No one side ruled the pitch but the pure determination and quality training of Interwood shone through. The crowd turnout was impressive and everyone who was there had a great couple of of hours with exception of the Plymouth Argyle team that is. Well done Interwood under 13's, today each and every one of you has earnt your win and my admiration.

Next Match booked is with Wycombe Wanderers and they really need transport for that match so if you have a spare couple of grand handy and want to help please contact us at Bitz n Bytez and perhaps you can help us buy them their new bus.

7th December

More on the robbery, many people have given us information on the criminals who robbed us and we have past this on to the police. We have given the police footage of the robbery, sworn statements, and two positive id's, this along with the footage from the outside council camera should have been more than enough for most forces to have brought justice down heavily on the culprits. Guess what? Not our police force. What more can I say other than it is no more than i expected from our so called local police force. Its bad enough being robbed but this lack of effort on the behalf of the police just rubs salt into the wounds. The funny thing is that while we were investigating our robbery we noticed that one of the names given had left a laptop with us for repair just before the robbery, no doubt while casing us. On inspection we found it to look suspicious so we investigated further only find we had a stolen laptop on the premises. The laptop had been stolen from a high ranking police officers spouse 3 years earlier. The strange thing is the culprit was immediately banged to rights for that crime, all as a result of information we had given, yet our robbery is still left un-resolved. Still our police force is very stretched here and a meager £3500 robbery is the least of their worries while there are traffic violations occurring all over our county with a guaranteed conviction.

26th October

£500 reward for information leading to the conviction for the criminals responsible for the robbery. The story so far, the police have been given information on the criminals responsible for the robbery. As yet there has been one arrest and a very strong suspect given for the second party. The police are sure there will be a conviction for this nasty deed that has been committed by two local low life's. I am still willing take take any further info on the burglary and will be only to happy to give you your share of the £500 reward if a prosecution follows upon information given small matter of £500 reward has has no miner influence on a swarm of willing parties giving us and the.

20th October

At approx 2.30am on the 18-10-04 two criminals robbed our shop of more than £3500 worth of laptops and did another £250 pounds worth of damage to our windows. We have the footage from our cameras for your amusement.

4th September

About time I put some more gossip on the site. We have just re-opened after a short break for holidays. We are very busy already as people have be awaiting our return. We are considering opening a second shop as space in here is very limited and believe other towns could benefit from the great service we offer. Please let me know your opinions if you live in a near by town that you think could benefit from us being there.

22th June

Another long break since I have left any news on what has been happening in Bitz n Bytez. We have have 3 months of terrible road works now in Ashburton, most of which is directly outside our shop. To say we are getting a bit fed up with it all is curbing my language allot. In their wisdom the council has decided to spend £380,000 on ripping up the road in the centre of Ashburton and then putting it all back to look much the way it looked before they started except for some different coloured paving slabs on the pavements in the town centre. This mayhem has resulted in most of our customers staying away in droves. I cannot blame them as the town centre is bedlam. However I don't know how much longer our town traders can survive on the tiny incomes that are currently making the way into our tills. We ourselves are now feeling the pinch severely. We has become so effected that we have taken to closing on Thursdays to relieve the Borden. We however have no shortage of repairs to do as word has got about how good we are at reviving the dead and dying pc's of the nearby and not so nearby residents. Yesterday i was informed that the roadwork's are to finnish nearly a month later than was promised. I hope and pray that this is just a nasty rumour, however there is normally no smoke without fire. Please try and bite the bullet if you need our services and pay us a visit with your wallets if you want us to still be here in 6 months time.

17th Feb

Its been some time since I have been able to edit my site so I am sorry for the big gap. We are so incredibly busy in the shop that it has not been a priority to sort out the site. With the arrival of Big Boys Toys we are running out of space in our little shop. We have some lovely regular customers who visit us daily offering their support, to all of them I must give a massive thank you. We now have a massive collection of New and Used PS2, X Box and Gamecube titles in stock due to a good influx of traded titles. Come se us soon and meet the growing team.

28th October

I am so sorry we have not left you any gossip for a while but we have been very busy. People travel from miles around for our quality of service and repairs and i'm sure our prices have no small influence either. We have now got MACS and a good selection of laptops including blue tooth tablets and second user laptops. We make an amazing micro system which has turned into one of our hottest lines.Look out for a massive selection of laptops due in in the next few weeks at silly prices. BROADBAND comes to town. Yes after much efforts we have successfully reached the targets for broadband and BT say we will have access on the 10th of December. Thanks for all your efforts.

2nd August

What a month, people from all around have discovered we are here. We have built many machines and repaired tons of them. We rely on word of mouth and do our best for our customers and it now paying off. I took a week off and my parents run the shop for me and did a great job. We had to put off building new systems for the week and reduced the amount of repairs coming in but despite that we made it through. We are now back to full steam so pop in and see us. You are always welcome to come in for a chat about your pc problems and have a coffee.

17th June

We have been open now for a month and have had some good and bad days. On friday the 13th we came into the shop only to find a broken window. I am offering a £50 reward to anyone who can give information to us or the police that will lead to a prosecution of the person or persons responsible. We will prosecute the culprits and will not hesitate to sue either them or their parents for compensation. Please support us to bring down these mindless vandals that are spoiling our otherwise beautiful town . I believe that the window was as a result of a failed attempted break in earlier in the evening. The good news is the culprits will have been caught on the camera that covers west street and we also have their voices caught on our internal camera systems that also records sound.

25th May

The roadwork's have finally gone. If you want to come and visit now you don't have to risk life and limb. We have been very busy thanks to all of you. Many remark on our low prices and the ability to shop without having to travel. We are please to be of service. Printer inks are due in on Tuesday so come and get your compatibles then.

10th May

We have ben open for 3 days now and have had great support from all our old and new customers. Many thanks to everyone who has visited us and mad this a success. We now have over 50 titles for the PS-2 to choose from and our PC hardware accessories choices has doubled. We will always be having new products in so keep visiting.

29th April More Hold-ups

Below this article we state we will we opening around the 28th, Guess what? You guessed it, there has been yet another hold up. Due to reasons beyond our control we have not yet settled the lease on the property. We are trying very hard to resolve this and could be sorted by the middle of the week. If that is the case we will try to be open for next weekend. Don't hold your breath though. Will try and keep you informed as i find out. Due to this the DVD competition closing date will be moved on for another month.

10th April New opening date for shop

After a long break we will be back in business all our customers are very excited as you will be able to pop in for a coffee and see the systems running and discuss your purchases's before ordering.
